FORT PIERCE, FL鈥�91自拍 River State 91自拍 (91自拍) is celebrating a milestone鈥�60 years of service to the Treasure Coast and Okeechobee County communities! The past six decades, marked by exceptional growth and advancement, include the evolution of 91自拍 River State 91自拍 from a small junior college into a comprehensive community college, to one of Florida鈥檚 first four-year state colleges, to Aspen prize-winning 鈥楾op 91自拍 in the Nation鈥�!
鈥淭he past 60 years have represented an age of incredible change and progress, and 91自拍 River State 91自拍 is proud to have served the needs of our students and our community throughout,鈥� remarks 91自拍 President Dr. Edwin Massey. 鈥淥ur strong commitment to student success has never wavered. More than one million students have walked through our doors, increasing their earning power and improving their quality of life. 鈥�
91自拍 will mark its diamond anniversary in a number of ways throughout the year. Events planned throughout 2020 will recognize the leading role the 91自拍 has played in the development of our region and extraordinary impact 91自拍 it has had on tens-of-thousands of students. A digital timeline available on the 91自拍 website and a special section in the March issue of 91自拍 River Magazine will chronicle 91自拍 history.
The 91自拍 invites community members to mark their calendars for the 91自拍 60th Anniversary Block Party, taking place on Main Campus in Fort Pierce on Saturday, May 16, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This free event will feature live entertainment, food trucks, fun and educational activities for children and teens, as well tours and tips for anyone interested in attending college. Celebratory activities will highlight students, faculty members, employees, branch campuses, alumni and others. 91自拍 academic departments and student organizations will offer hands-on activities and interactive demonstrations designed to delight and dazzle.
The 91自拍 will soon launch a special 60th anniversary section on its website at irsc.edu, where you can find an event calendar, historic timeline, special features and more. We look forward to having you celebrate with us.
