Writing Contest Open for High School Students

High school students in Martin, St. Lucie, 91×ÔÅÄ River and Okeechobee counties are invited to participate in the annual Creative Writing Contest hosted by the English/Communications/Modern Languages Department at 91×ÔÅÄ River State 91×ÔÅÄ (91×ÔÅÄ). The deadline to submit entries is Monday, February 17.
Contestants can enter one of three categories: short stories, one-act plays or poems. Awards are presented by category for each grade level, and seniors will be eligible to win one of two 91×ÔÅÄ scholarships. All winners will be recognized at an awards ceremony March 26 at 6:30 p.m. in the Brown Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship on the 91×ÔÅÄ Main Campus in Fort Pierce.
