91×ÔÅÄ Swim Team Sweeps 2020 NJCAA Swimming and Diving National Championship

FORT PIERCE—The 91×ÔÅÄ River State 91×ÔÅÄ (91×ÔÅÄ) Swimming and Diving Team claimed two new national titles to extend their record-breaking consecutive winning streak at the 2020 National Junior 91×ÔÅÄ Athletic Association (NJCAA) Swimming and Diving National Championships held at the Ann Wilder Aquatic Complex on the 91×ÔÅÄ Main Campus in Fort Pierce, March 4 through 7.
The 91×ÔÅÄ Swimming and Diving Team extended record-breaking winning streaks, which now number 46 consecutive Men’s title wins, and 42 overall and 38 consecutive title wins for the Women’s team. This unmatched performance continues the longest unbroken U.S. championship winning-streak in any sport at the collegiate level. Excelling across the board, the Women’s team captured their title with a total of 1,262 team points while the Men’s team secured their title with 1,112.5 team points, and took home first-place finishes in 14 events—including a pair of relay races.
In addition to securing national title wins, 91×ÔÅÄ swimmers earned individual distinctions. Gabriella Tolento was named NJCAA Female Diver of the Year, and in a three-way-tie, 91×ÔÅÄ teammates Savanna Best, Emma Colvin, and Hannah Kiely earned the title NJCAA Female Swimmer of the Year. 91×ÔÅÄ Men’s Swim Team member Jarryd Baxter was named NJCAA Male Swimmer of the Year in a two-way-tie with Billy Cruz Zuniga from Iowa Central Community 91×ÔÅÄ.
91×ÔÅÄ River’s Head Swim Coach Sion Brinn received recognition as the 2020 NJCAA Female Swim Coach of the Year.
